When the time comes to arrange the funeral of a loved one, it is important to have complete faith in your chosen funeral director.  We can arrange the funeral in a manner that is respectful to the deceased and the bereaved family, this is of great benefit in assisting with the initial stages of grief.

As part of our service we will meet with you in person, we will explain the various options available to you, and will discuss the type of funeral you wish to avail of.  We will assist in your coffin choice and funeral times, and finally any additional requirements you may have.

Having finalised your requirements we will then offer you, should you wish, a breakdown of the costs involved in providing this service.

 

Traditional Funeral

A wake in the home or funeral home, people come to pay respects and sympathise with family members the coffin is taken to the church overnight where the funeral mass takes place the following day. The coffin can remain in the family home or funeral home after visitation has finished and be taken to the church the day of the funeral mass.

Non-religious service - this is a service, without any religious content, designed by the family with the assistance of a civil celebrant or Humanist celebrant. The service will usually consist of music, eulogies, poems and words or remembrance. This usually takes place in the funeral home.

Civil Service – many families want a service which combines elements of the two above - some religious content coupled with their own choices of music, speeches, poems and words of remembrance.

In all cases we will arrange for a suitable Celebrant who can facilitate, guide and assist with the ceremony.

 

Non Service Funerals

These are funerals that have no service. The deceased is taken directly for burial or cremation.

 

Committal Service

A committal service is conducted after a church service or funeral Mass The committal service lasts about 10 to 15 minutes and is conducted by a member of the clergy following a standard religious format.
